Strawberry 100%
Strawberry 100% - 01-02 & NCOP+ED [ReDone-MDC][DVD][H264 FLAC]
Yes, that's right, Strawberry (Ichigo) 100% DVD encodes. 720x480, 4:3, FLAC.
I have already discussed this with Zalis from ReDone Subs; and I will be re-releasing the entire TV series with encodes from the ISO's, with increased video and audio quality. We will also be doing a joint on the OVAs (I will do encodes and chapters, Zalis will do everything else).
Additionally the NCOP, NCED, and NCED alternate (from ep 12) are available as ordered chapters (right click haali splitter and choose one of the "No Credit" Editions). The credited OP/ED (default chapters) are not ordered, so they will play fine in VLC, etc.
Please feel free to leave any feedback/suggestions regarding the encode. BTW, the TV episodes and OVAs will not fit together on one standard 4.7 GB DVD. I played with switching to AAC (Audio Source is 2 ch PCM) and ordered chapters for the Credited Op/Ed, but always came up a few hundred MB too large. I would have had to lower the video quality a little.
For those wondering (no filters used besides crop/resize/IVTC):
program --level 4.1 --preset slow --tune animation --crf 15.0 --thread-input --keyint 240 --min-keyint 24 --bframes 16 --b-adapt 1 --b-pyramid strict --ref 16 --vbv-maxrate 2500 --rc-lookahead 40 --merange 24 --direct spatial --subme 7 --no-fast-pskip --ssim --output "output" "input"

Status Update
Mostly what I've been doing recently is encoding for 4L fansubs and remuxing or re-encoding other groups releases. To organize what I've been doing better I've created a blog for those releases:
MDC Remuxes & Re-encodes
If I ever have another big project I'll do I'll post it here.

You asked for it... ;)
If you were downloading on the other torrent resume from this one!
These episodes make use of chapter/segment linking. To view the Op/Eds in all episodes, you MUST have file linking enabled in Haali media splitter (I do not know if any other splitter will play these files properly).
To enable file linking in Haali Media Splitter, double click the Haali tray icon, then hit the options tab. Expand the Input drop-down. Set "Try to open linked files" to yes.
There are 2 editions of each set of chapters in the episodes, one with No credits, and one with Credits. I have included the Chapters/Tags in case you want to put the Credited OpEd as the primary edition. I decided to go with NC as the primary still as that is what I had originally done and didn't want to reseed those files, lol. (To remux with chapters/tags, Add the episode, tick no Chapters, no Tags, then go to the global tab and bring in the proper chapters and tags files).
*edit* I forgot to swap the editions in those chapters, it's pretty simple to do it yourself. Just cut the first
(replace "[" "]" with "<" ">")
block and paste it after the second, or vice-versa.
Episode 3 is simply a v2 because of an error in the episode name in the chapter file. That is all. You can redownload it if you want, or you can remux with the included chapters file, or do nothing, it'll play just fine.
Hope you enjoy it!

Lamune 01-03 x264 + NC Op/Ed
This is a test release. I'm doing some encoding for another group, and I've been using Lamune for practicing new things (don't worry, this is the fruits of all my practice, not what I made during it).
*Important*
I got a lot of requests for an x264 version of Lamune when I first released it, so here it is. If you want the rest of the episodes you MUST let me know via email or the blog. If I get a few requests I'll release the rest in a batch. My upload is slow and setting up the chapters is tiring, so if nobody wants this I'm not going to bother doing it.

also please let me know if you'd prefer the Op/Eds with credits as the primary one, or the NCOP/NCED as primary, currently NC is primary.

surprise
I'm working on something (don't get too excited, it's nothing great) so I might have a little surprise coming up....

Wow..
Wow... Air was licensed. I never expected this.
Good thing I never actually did any work besides gather stuff ^^.

Good news!
Relish has given me permission to use the scripts from their softsubs of AIR
for timing purposes, which makes the workload for this something
I can manage. I'll definitely be able to do these now!

OK I got the first episode downloaded.
The quality is amazing. It almost looks sharpened or pixelated when there's
no movement, but there is little to zero artifacting. The pixelated look may
be able to be fixed with filters... for that I'd have to mess around with encoding or find someone who knows how to encode. It's definitely higher quality than Relish's release and probably KAA's also...
btw the res on these raws is 1024x576 which is kind of surprising, since Bluray is 1280x720... but Air is an upscale anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

AIR... maybe
So I'm in the process of downloading the AIR HDTV raws, which I'm assuming are from the new BLU-RAY release of AIR. If they are higher quality than Relish's HDTV release of AIR, I'll be interested in doing them.
I need input on a few things:
A. If you'd be interested in having this done.
B. If you'd be interested in helping (specifically with karaoke, timing, and possibly encoding).
C. Which subs I should use... I'd probably want to use Triad's or Koi's, obviously I'd have to get permission, but just which people would prefer.
Just leave a comment or reach me at maniacdc at gmail.com (I can't access gawab from my school for some
reason right now... grumble).

Winter Break
I'm off for winter break, I'll be back near the end of January. I'll have to take my seeds down until then; my home connection doesn't have the upload. Hopefully people will continue seeding. Thanks to those who have so far.
